Praise and Worship

” Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. (Psalm 95: 1-2)

Praise and Worship saints, Praise and Worship. Those are the most powerful sources in heaven. Sometimes we have to acknowledge our God with praise, sometimes prayer is not enough, spending time with the Word is not enough. Praise and Worship is the same as watering your plants  everyday, not only does it magnify the Lord but it also intercedes for us.

Our Lord does so many things for us saints. No matter what you might have in that moment, when you look around there aint much to claim as yours; but that doesn’t mean He’s not worthy to be praised. When you praise your spirit rejoices, it’s as if God is breathing a new pure Spirit unto you.

Sometimes you might not know what’s happening in the spiritual realm that’s about to happen in the physical.you’ll feel down; you can’t open the bible, you can’t even pray. You feel as though something is pressing you down, you praise and worship. Satan was a worshipper himself so when you praise he excuses himself from your way. Jesus said we must resist the devil and he will flee from us, there are many ways to resist and one of the many is when you praise and worship God.

There are many ways to please the Lord but the closest one is praise, You acknowledge Him for who He is in your life. When you call unto His name, He rejoices. When a parent gives something to a child, it’s more decent when a child says thank you. Not many receive what the child is given no matter how much it is or how small it is. Juanita Bunum says in one of her songs, “You are Holy, what a priviledge and honour to worship at your throne, to be callled into your presence as your own.” It feels good when one belongs, so we are so priviledged that the one with a higher power calls us His own.

” My heart is steadfast oh Lord, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise you, O Lord among the nations;I will sing of you among peoples.”( Psalm 57). David said this words when He was being persecuted, He says he was in the midst of lions and he lay among ravenous beasts. But that didnt stop him to praise our Lord, for he knew in Him he finds rest, It is well with him when he is in the presence of the most High.

Saints while you still can worship and praise the Lord. Let us acknowledge the Lord, let us press on to acknowlege Him. As surely as the sun rises He will appear, He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that waters the earth. (Hosea 6:3)

Imitating Christ’s Humility

The bible says in Philippians 2:1-3

“If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any
comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and
compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same
love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or
vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

Each of you should look not only to your own interests of others. Your attitude
should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

He had equal status with God but didn’t think so much of Himself that he had to
cling to the advantages of that status, no matter what. Not at all, when the
time came he set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a
slave, became human; having become human he stayed human.

It was an incredibly humbling process, he didn’t claim special
privileges. Instead he lived a selfless obedient life and then died a selfless
obedient death and a worst kind of death at that-a crucifixion Because of that
obedience God lifted Him high and honoured him far above anyone or anything
ever, so that all created being in heaven and on earth; even those long ago
dead and buried will bow and worship before this Jesus Christ and call out in
praise that He is the master of all, to the gloriest of honour of God the
Father.”

He had all the privileges of deity but he never hanged on
to them. We have nothing compared to it but we find ourselves thinking highly
of ourselves that we end up deceiving ourselves. Self-righteousness leads to
self-destruction. Who are we to think we’ve got it going on and were better
than them. We mustn’t forget that Jesus is the one who is able to save destroy.
James 4:12

James 2:1-4 “My brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ,
don’t show favouritism. Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold
ring and fine clothes and a poor man in shabby clothes also come in. If you
show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say “Here’s a
good seat for you” but you say to the poor man, “You stand
there” or “sit on the floor by my feet” have you not
discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?

Let us be diligent and use the wisdom we have received, for it is pure,
peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial
and sincere. Also peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of
righteousness. James 3:17

God is Raising an Army

“Be strong in the Lord and His mighty power. Put on the full Armour of  God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.(Ephesians 6: 10-11)

God is raising an army, whom will come against the principalities, against the authorities and powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm. (Ephesians 6:12).We shall speak things as if they were though they are not in
places He’s about to send us. He’s sending us to a rebellious nation just like Ezekiel’s call. “Do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you lie among scorpions.

You must speak my words to them whether they listen or fail to listen for they are rebellious (Ezekiel 2:6-7)

Life has pushed us to the urge, we’ve went through pain, cried to the Lord, we’ve been persecuted; we’ve been laughed at, some people have made us feel unworthy and left holes in our lives; but God is saying those days are no more. Those things were preparation for a greater purpose in His Kingdom. He brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs. He let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water but now He has brought us to a place of Abundance. (Psalm 66:11-12)

He has torn us into pieces but He will heal us, He has injured us but He will bind up our wounds. After two days He will revive us and on the third day restore us that we may live in His presence.(Hosea 6:1-2). The scroll has been unrolled, the whole vision shown. “Eat the scroll and then go and speak to the nation He’s sending you too. Eat and fill your stomach with it. (Ezekiel3:1-3).

But i will make you as unyielding and hardened as they are, I will make your forehead like the hardest
stone than flint. Do not be afraid of them or terrified by them. (Ezekiel 3:8-9)

God has prepared us for those people we need to speak to, He has enlarged our
territories; He has given us an undivided heart to continue to fear His name and a willing spirit to sustain us in the journey
He’s about to send us. “He’s the one who arms us with strength and makes our way perfect. He makes our feet, like the feet of a deer; He enables us to stand on the Heights.” Therefore do not be afraid for you will not suffer shame, Do not
fear disgrace, you will not be humiliated; for you will spread out to the left and right. (Isaiah 54:3-4)

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways higher than
my ways.” -declares the Lord; As the heavens are higher than the earth so
are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. As the rain and snow come
down from heaven and do not return to it without watering the earth and making
it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater. so is my word that goes
out from my mouth; it will not return to me empty but will accomplish what i
desire and achieve the purpose for which i sent it. (Isaiah 55:8-11)

Be Still

At times things that matter the most seems to be the ones that bring us to our knees, they seem to be the ones that make us want to give up. Do no give in, We belong to God, He calls us His own. You are going through that thing because you have to. It’s written in your book of life. You are not to be called an overcomer if you haven’t overcome anything. You shall not stand before people and say you’re more than conqueror if you haven’t conquered what seemed impossible. Whatever we go through is to widen our territories, for God to show us that He is. I am what I am because of Him, I’m not going to be ashamed of anything nor hide anything because He is all that I need to perfect my ways, He is the one I run to when my heart is filled with pain not knowing where else to go. Where I find myself crying not knowing why, I’m able to go to Him and not say anything. He’s God and all He wants us to know is that He is and will always be the same, no matter what the world might say. Be alert that the devil doesn’t sleep, He’s a roaring lion and roars each day just so that you run into his mouth. God says we should be sober and vigilant. Be still and let God be God upon your life. Have faith in Him even as little as a mustard seed. He loves you, cast your cares unto Him. They say the ring is for two people and at the end one must win. The battle is not yours but Gods. Shut the door behind you and let it be you and your God. Lose yourself in God’s presence, where there’s fullness of Joy, peace that surpasses all understanding and He will take care of your burdened heart.
